Questions concerning Backlinks and Traffic

Hey all, l I have created my first website it has been for 6 months now since I created it, but I was very busy the past months so I didn't build any backlinks or traffic to my site.

I have time now for my site and I am starting to learn about ways to get backlinks and to get traffic, there are a lot of things going on my mind right now, I guess it's all newbie stuff, you don't have to answer all my question but if you could give me any advises I would appreciate it:

1. What is the average number of backlinks should I do per Day?

Regarding that my site is 6 month old but no backlinks yet. I know that the links depends not only by its number, but also by its value. I am considering subscribing to a service called Build my rank where they post my links in my posts to PR sites from 1-6, also I do backlinks in Article directories like Ezinearticles, web directories, Forums or Blog commenting. I don't want to be spamming backlinks since I heard that if I do too much backlinks in a short time I get some sort of search engine punishment.

2. When Backlinks get indexed?

I know also that it depends on where the link is being posted, but for my case, I have posted an article in Ezinearticle with my link to my website for over than 10 days and it is still not indexed, I thought that Ezinearticles is updated all the time, so I was wondering how the link didn't indexed yet, I check my links on Google webmasters.

3. What are ways to get traffic rather than Search engines?

I know that the best way is to get through search engines, but until I reach good position in search engines I have to build first a lot of quality links. So what are good ways to get some traffic until I reach a good position? I use now yahoo answers, where I find questions related to my topic and I answer the question and put my link to my website for more info, I get good targeted traffic this way but it's too low traffic.

4. My Bounce rate on Google analytics is 100% to most of my visitors what should I do? And does this affect my PR by Google?

Another problem is that, my affiliate site is a single site page and Google Analytics doesn't register multiple pageviews unless visitors reload that page, as a result single-page sites tend to have high bounce rates, that what Google analytics said about bounce rate in the help section, I am sure that my visitor don't spend 00:00:00 on my site. Should I worry about that, and will this affect my PR and prevent me to rank in search engine, or should I make my affiliate site has more than one page?

A couple of things in answer to your post.

1 - There is an SEO section for this forum - you should post these types of question there to get the best response.

2 - a) there is not 'best' number of backlinks per day. The only time to care about such things is if you're trying to trick Google and blasting links with low value methods. Any amount of 'normal' links should not be a problem - afterall it's normal for a new business to heavily market their new website and get thousands of links a day in. I have never had any problems from this.
    b) Backlinks get indexed when the place they are located gets spidered and indexed. This is not something you should care about or need to worry about if your links are coming from legitimate places. Don't worry about it.
    c) There are HUNDREDS of ways to get traffic - they have been mentioned hundreds of times (maybe thousands) in this forum over the years. Read the SEO forum.
Also you could read this: http://www.warriorforum.com/blogs/an...-any-site.html

    d) If you only have a one-page site it's not surprising your bounce rate is crazy high. Unless your traffic is laser targeted and presold you will never get a low bounce rate. Think about where your traffic comes from and what they expect when they arrive and try to make the two things fit together.
