I have seen tons of links for dirt cheap on seo sites. I run a carpet cleaning business in a town where there are few sites with seo but frankly not much. I want to knock em out with an seo campaign. Im going to initiate blogs articles you tube vids and optimize my site personally.

Question:

1. What link purchasing site would be good for my business to drive new clients to my site.

2. What PR links should I be aiming for.

3. I have read that low PR link directories are not so great an idea if you can afford the higher PR links.

I would like to hopefully get honest from experience replys without a salesman who will sell me something that will hurt rather than help. Thx you guys rock here at warrior forum.

I use Build My Rank for high PR links. I find they work pretty well and don't cost too much considering their quality.

Just use BMR and optimize your website for SEO. It's that easy.

I'm currently ranking a rent-a-site for local lawyers where I live. It's currently in the top 3 for it's main keyword and I've only given BMR 5-6 posts.

My suggestion to you is this: Sign up for a free trial using BMR and use those 10 free links to your advantage. If you like your results (you will) keep using BMR.

You'll have 4 slots for websites left but since you already know about SEO and optimization, do some keyword research on another local niche around your area and build 4 "rent-a-sites" surrounding those niches. Then just rank them all to the top 3 and sell the slots to local companies.

These days (post-panda) the MOST poweful links come from high PR TLD's, and edus/govs.

Google seems to be eating these types of links up.

Forget link building. Invest your time in google maps and local.
You don't need any SEO or even a website. Facebook and
twitter are a good option as well.

I agree with this. Although, I would still recommend a website. There have been studies that found people trust companies that have websites more than those without.

You should be focusing on local activities. Google Places, local directories, AdWords and Facebook Ads targeting local people, links from places like your local chamber of commerce, etc.

Do not go to Fiverr buying unneeded junk. Do not go chasing .edu and .gov links which, contrary to popular belief, carry no added value.

It's true. Local SEO is a whole different ball game. Do some Google searches for "local SEO". You will learn some easy and effective ways to get ahead of competitors that are not doing any of it.

This. This would be the most valuable SEO you could do. **** an SEO campaign, you don't need one if you're trying to beat local yokels with little internet knowledge for a niche business.

Jgalv, I've helped a lot of fellows in the same niche. Like mentioned, I would focus on a really good GPL page as apposed to SEO. GPL + PPC then go for SEO.

BMR gets really good results for SEO. Plus use Google Places and a Social Media campaign (Facebook/Twitter).

    Good luck!

All you really need to do is get on Google places, which is a little different than traditional SEO.

As far as buying links in bulk, most of these are best served for pointing at manually created links. In other words, point the bulk links AT links that you manually created. "Backlinking your backlinks."

yeah, the google places is a big thing. I found the local directory submission on here really helped and had a nice SEO side benefit. They look really natural too.

Wow some interesting answers in here. Fiverr gigs for a real business? Yeah right. guy wants to build his business not get identified as a web spammer and sorry thats what you get most of from Fiverr gigs.

links do play a role in Google places as well. Don't know why people are saying SEO isn't necessary for Google places. Getting local links especially can be highly beneficial.

Never said it was which is why I said most not all but frankly if someone is selling PR3 blog links on Fiverr for $4 profit the sites will be junk in no time or be removed in no time (and yes I know of people who had their so called permanent links from fiverrgigs removed in a few months).

Buy links from high pr website as per you expected ROI

    Use Blog networks

    Use web 2.0 sites

Use directory submissions and social bookmarking.

BMR is closed so that isn't really an option. You can try us at HighPRSociety.com

We offer articles on PR1-PR6 with an average of PR3, compared to BMR's average of PR2 (This is information I received from BMR and HPS customers running tests)

We also offer Home Page links that never roll off to PR0 or PR N/a as well as contextual Home Page links.

BMR is good. The PR links you should be aiming for is at least 4 and up. For me, if you can afford high PR links and if the prices for low PR links and high PR links do not much have difference; opt for the higher one.

From personal experience and from what I've learned from talking to many people.
Stay away from any package offering you thousands or even hundreds of backlinks for a cheap price like 5 to 30 dollars. These offers sound great at first, and does do what it says to do and that would put your link on a pr 4 or p5 websites.
But the thing that they do is over populate it with links. Google and Bing frown upon a page overpoppulated with links and considers those links to be spam. Your site will be penalized.
It's easier to be blacklisted from bing than google.
Go for real backlink sellers. These sellers will only sell a quantity of 5 to 6 back links per website and will charge about $5 to $20 per backlink depending on the PR of the website.

Which is why it's wise to point these at your tiers, and not your sites themselves. I'm still doing traditional Scrapebox blasts, but never at my sites themselves. I don't know why anyone would expect 10,000+ high quality links for $5. Clearly these aren't going to be the greatest links. But they still have their place.

    Hi,
I agree with all the above mentioned point. But what my experience say that PR is not a big factor. The relevant link and content is main key. If you buy a link form PR 5 site but the link is irrelevant . Google will not give a proper value to the such link. Site must be relevant to your theme and content also. I have many business related sites. All sites are PR 1, 2 and 3. I think if you buy links form these sites ..your site will get more benefit.

My rate is reasonable and negotiable. Reach me ..steven.robert125@gmail.com

If your going to use Fiverr than remember to stagger your linking building gigs. Don;t go out and buy a ton of gigs and blast your site. Give your gigs a week or so before buying another.

And as Paul pointed out, Google Maps and Places are going to be your best friend when targeting local customers.

Think twice before you buy a 'poison package' thinking you've found the pot of SEO gold.

Others have gone before you, and been lost.
