Page Rank is just another factor to get good rankings in Google. There are several other factors which work behind good rankings you need to make those perfect. Getting a good page rank depends upon building quality backlinks. Do follow Links from pages having a high pr will help your site to get a good pr.

Get inbound links from pages with high page rank. The formula for how much your page rank will increase based on an inbound link from a certain page is 85% of the page rank of the page divided by the number of outbound links on the page.

For example, if you get a backlink from a page with PR of 5, and that page has 5 outbound links on it (including the one to your site), then the PR of your site will increase by:
(0.85)(5/5) = (0.85)(1) = 0.85.

As you can see, the value of an inbound link not only lies in the page rank of that page, but in how many outbound links are on that page. Something to keep in mind when buying a link on a page with high page rank .........

Just do quality backlinking. Remember quality is better than quantity. During you backlinking process, focus on sites with high pr.

You need High PR contextual and Relevant dofollow backlinks. Also mix some nofollow backlinks to keep the process seem organic.

According to me there are many factors of PageRank. First of all do proper link building of your website. Update your site content regularly. Get quality backlinks from high authority sites. When you comment on forum or blog, your post is unique and also informative.Participate regularly on those sites and contribute on it. Use social networking sites.

Guys I built a website for a friend that is a PR3, and I've never built one backlink to it. I used to buy-in to the notion that "more links = more PR", but that's just not the total truth.

Quality content... tons of visitors, and update it regularly, and your PR will rise.

Yes you can build links, but links are only a small part of it.

No. Stop babbling misinformation.

If your PR went up after adding more content, it was either a coincidence or a side effect, not the actual cause of the increase.

PR is 100 percent based on LINKS...

Certainly link building is crucial but most of the links of value will come naturally if you place great content on your webpages. A few comments placed carefully on blogs may help if they add new material or ideas and they are relevant to the placement and your webpages.
The idea that "You need High PR contextual and Relevant dofollow backlinks." is correct but then all you need to be a millionaire is a thousand donations of $1000 - don't hold your breath. These links take time to accumulate naturally but natural links are what Google wants to see and they have sophisticated means to distinguish those that are genuine.

It's been said a million times, but content is key. Spend the time to create truly remarkable, helpful, engaging, share-worthy content. Promote the content. Cutting corners isn't the long-term solution. Page Authority is a great thing, but it's not the only thing. Obviously link building plays a major role...but just be sure to not overlook the importance content has -- not only for driving traffic to your site, but also in turning that site visitor into a quality lead or customer.
