Youtube video FAIL... Seo-wise what is the best way to improve its performance?

Hi guys, I have an old Youtube video that isn't performing too well, not quite as I've expected. Mainly because I've chosen the wrong tags, title back then and the description is missing some major keywords.

At this point, what is the best thing to do to increase this videos performance/rankings/views?

I've decided to edit this video and change the tags, description and title... But the question now is, do updates affect SEO in a good or bad way?

Or better put, in this case, will this be any helpful to increase rankings and get more views?

Or is it better if I just re-upload the video and DO IT RIGHT THIS TIME? :p

Also, is bookmarking this video useful just to let the search engine spiders know there has been an update?

I think you must edit the video description and tags, when you will do it you will see improvement in your ranking.

Start building quality backlinks to your videos. Just like you would your websites.

Don't reupload, that will hurt you with google and youtube. I re-uploaded a video and my youtube account felt it HARD.

I would use the google keyword tool to search for keywords that are getting alot of traffic and place them in your title and description.

For tags, I would open up another youtube tab and go to the search bar and then type in only a few letters or words that have to do with your video... the rest will be automatically spelled out. Use the ones at the top of the list for your tagss... make sense?

I've come to accept that some videos (no matter how good you think they could be or how good they were) are duds... I spent 3 months preparing a video and its a total dud..

Overall focus on your overall channel. Add more popular vids. If the video is good that you want more traffic for... don't worry, keep making vids and the traffic will come to your channel and in turn, your video.
