Do backlinks to my blog's homepage also help my ranking for a keyword in a blog post?

so If I had a blog post where i was trying to rank for the keyword "make money"
and If I had backlinks to my homepage only, would that also help me rank for my inner posts like my "make money" blog post?

Also does backlinking to certain blog posts, increase the ranking on other blog posts on my site where im ranking for different keywords?

    I believe that by backlinking the home page you'll give yoursite more of a presence so all pages within the blog will get a small boost as well. However, I would still backlink the deeper pages as well.

      I would say yes if your pages are do follow you will be passing link juice through to your other inner pages. Even if there not do follow I think it would probably provide a boost but don't quote me on that.
