After you have created your sites...how long do you expect to wait before google indexes you?

So far I created two sites, one took about a week the other took even longer. I hear of people saying ''24-48 hours''...so how do I make that happen? I just created my third site and dont want to wait around again, I want it out there now!

So far I have pinged, done a couple of social bookmarks, submitted to DMOZ, and I have wrote 2 articles but both are currently with ezine waiting to be looked at. What else can I do?

Google will index a site right away.... Having it ranked is a different story.

Post your link to a social bookmarking site like digg... you'll get indexed in a few hours.

I been able to get my sites indexed within a few hours with google. One thing I learned the hard way though yesterday is, make sure your robots.txt file is correct before submitting your site to the webmaster tool. Google caches robots.txt
