I've read a couple of threads on this topic, but got conflicting answers. I have a 1 page site, a single squeeze page, and was wondering who here has experience with Google, how would I make it adwords friendly? To my knowledge, if I add a terms & conditions, disclaimer, about , contact page and maybe add a blog, that would be enough?

    Hi,

I can't explain directly your question, but what I can tell you is this: you don't want to have ads on your squeeze page. These would act as distractions that would take your visitors away from your page, when its primary purpose is to make them sign up...
A squeeze page should be straight forward. No distractions.

    Seb.

Do you use Facebook ? Then you can make money just by inviting people to a Facebook group ! It's called the Instant Income System. How cool is that?

No, none of this has anything to do with an AdWords-acceptable squeeze page.

PM me your page and I'll take a quick look. I will say that I'm 95% certain that your page is no good for AdWords without even looking at it though.

Yes I'm 100% certain it's not Adwords acceptable as right now it's a 1 page website with solely a squeeze page, a similiar one had got my past Adwords account banned, so I want to guarantee this one. I haven't added any of the pages I've mentioned above yet. I just want a clear definite guide as to how to make it cool with Adwords.

Ultimately it's down to user experience right?

Adwords want sites that are 'meaty' and not thin. Plus sites that had a brand and authority in their field.

Ok well Adwords policy says the sole purpose of my site should not be to capture user details. So what I gather from this is that I should have extra pages on my site with related content. Anyone have a good example of a Adwords friendly site with their squire page as the landing site?

You should have content on your squeeze page, in the form of articles and pictures.
Have a navigation bar, with links to pages like home, about us, products, testimonials
and such. Avoid having big money claims and hype on your page.

It helps to have a logo that shows to Google that you are a real business.

In the footer you should have a link to your privacy policy, terms of service, and
'contact us' page, with your address, email, and phone number.

    Hope that helps.

OK cool. That sounds about right and logical I guess. I hate the idea of having to add articles and content on my squeeze page which detracts from the purpose of my squeeze page in the first place, but if Google says so I'll have to if I want adwords I guess.

Btw, do you have any good examples of squeeze pages that use adwords?

I agree that content can distract visitors from opting-in but that's how it is.

Here are two examples I found with a quick search, not the best of
examples but you get the idea (not affiliated with these sites):

More content can also help your list a lot. In many cases for me my best squeeze pages have a lot of content. And by "best" I mean the squeeze pages that produce the most sales. May not build the biggest list but it often can mean a high quality list of potential customers for your product/service.
