My site has an XML Sitemap, I have already submitted it to:
Google Webmaster
Yahoo Site Explorer
MSN Live

In regards to SEO, is it advisable to have a link on your website (possibly in the footer) to the xml sitemap?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

no, place it in the header tag, you need to use some link rel, header function tag and direct it to the location of the file, ie sitemap.xml, or better yet, rename it to ror.xml, search engines will pick this up and read that first before any other content and follow the links in the site map. using this method will get your pages indexed faster.

Hey I appreciate the input. That helps a lot. I had no idea there was a way to include your sitemap in the header. I learn something new everyday.

it doesn't work, but focus on the text box it shows you the code you can use.

just dont forget to either rename ur file, or rename the file in the code.
