Im sure you have all seen how some google plus accounts are now appearing in brand related search results. I was just wondering if any of you warriors knew how to do this?

SJD Accountancy is an example of it. If you type them in on google their profile appears.

You need a Google Plus account, then you add the following changing the details.

      Code:
      <a href="https://plus.google.com/YourGooglePlusNumberHere?rel=author">Your Name+</a>
Place that on the content that is yours, then after a week or so your Google Plus pic should start showing next to your articles.

    1. Get more and more followers.
    2. Connect your Google+ page to your website directly.
    3. More the number of +1′s a page gets, higher are the chances to show up in search results.
    4. Fill in the information for your profile and pages completely. Google prioritizes different areas of the profile for both on-page optimization and in search results.

1, 2 and 3 are all demonstrably untrue and have nothing to do with authorship results. I can't say for sure for 4, but from my experience I think it also has little to do with authorship.

As fair as I know, this method is only recommended if you don't have an email address on the same domain as your content.

The method google generally recommends, and the one I use with complete success, is here.

You can link content you publish on a specific domain (such as wired.com) to your Google+ profile.
Sign up for Google+ and create a Google+ profile.

Make sure you have a profile photo with a recognizable headshot.

Make sure a byline containing your name appears on each page of your content (for example, "By Steven Levy").

Make sure your byline name matches the name on your Google+ profile.

Verify you have an email address (such as stevenlevy@wired.com) on the same domain as your content.

Return to this page and enter your email address.
And yes, it takes 1-2 weeks for the results to start showing.

I think the best tips has been laid down! You can also try to sign up to other social media sites. Just make sure all info you used on your google plus is the info you will use in signing up for other social media account.

in my knowledge it all started with the launch of Google Graph in may, 2012. It was aimed to provide additional information about a famous personality or brand (via wiki) when someone searches for them. And from September onwards, Google started rolling out Google+ pages instead of wiki info for products/brands who have a verified Google plus page to showcase their additional information.

I would also like to apprise you that right now this feature is applicable for brands/products with a huge follower base over their Google plus pages. However, Google stated that also “normal” G+ users can link their profiles with Google Search in the future.
