    1. best option is to get a new domain, that isnt EMD, and rank for the same terms (google isnt done playing with EMDs)
    2. if getting a new domain is out of the question, then build our your current site to include many more topics, keywords, and content - keep unique content, and build links not just for the main anchor - chances are you have focussed too much on 1 anchor text and now you are getting penalty for it!)

Does that mean i can still be able to rank for the EMD keyword?

There are too many factors to answer this. If you have an EMD, your traffic dropped and you want that traffic back...i would keep adding high quality content and make sure any backlinks you're getting are good quality.

If you start over with a new domain (brand domain)...then you can still possibly rank for the keywords with EMU (exact match urls) again with high quality content. Good luck.

yup, in theory you can, just check the link profile, dont over optimize for the main one, - you either need to find spammy links and get rid of them, or dilute with more anchors, natural signals, and also building links to more page
        oh
        add more pages!

If the site isn't getting a lot of traffic or earning much, your best bet is to probably just start fresh on a non-EMD. I'm sure there's going to be a ton of recovery services, tutorials, etc. But usually the hassle isn't worth it.

EMD is over hyped - Just what Google love!
Your site may have been penalised due to over optimisation. Just reducing keyword density can have a positive impact. Also the use of keyword rich H1, H2, H3s etc. is, in my tests, detrimental.

Starting all over with another domain would be difficult because the keyword is very competitive. That's why i have to purchase the EMD, so it would give me a better advantage to rank. The other extension has been purchased..

Don't jump ship. EMDs are recovering just not on primary keywords just as yet but are recovering very well on secondary and tertiary keywords.

its linking to your page without anchor text, so if your site was called Warrior Forum the link would look like

      http://www.warriorforum.com

      instead of

      Warrior Forum

actually i dont know if i know what the hell i'm saying, I had the same question a while ago and just came to that conclusion...so you might want to verify wit one of dese SEO experts running round here

I've spent the last 59 months building 412 MFA sites. Each site averages 8 cents per day...I said average, some make up to 17 cents per day, PASSIVE INCOME! This income allows me to live comfortably and buy ANY flavor Jolly Rancher or Skittles I desire. Don't give in to fear, it CAN be done!

I think you can improve overall authority of your site.

    How -

Add new articles. Google is not loving sites with just few sales pages and 3-4 articles what we call niche sites. Instead, plan for authority niche sites.

Prove Authority - Instead of using general names, use your company name or your display names. Give your real twitter account & FB pages (get tweets & likes).

Some thing unique than your competitors that is relevant to search terms you want to rank for.

Don't over optimize - Remove crap back links, links from duplicated contents, profiles, wiki....You should have very few backlinks from such sites but at the same time build links from authority sites.

    My 2 cents....

A couple of my EMD sites got severely affected about 2 weeks ago. No webmaster tools error and they are still indexed, but traffic flow went down to 1%. I hope they go back again some time.

I have 2 emd domains. One with auto blogging content. That gone.
One with 4 unique post is still there.

Moral of the story : Unique content worked....

        • Create high quality content to your affected site
        • Mail a re-consideration request to the Google Webmaster Team if you think your website was mistakenly hit (as usual)
        • Increase your social presence
        • Change the overall design and re-cover your website
        • De-index all low quality URLs that should have caught Google's attention
        • Convert quantity into quality
        • Check analytics every time a new effort is done
        • Create a strong brand presence and exposure, rather clinging to generic names in order to drive traffic

          YOU ARE CORRECT SIR!

Naked links are usually used on EMU (exact Match urls). But the above is a perfect example.

As are you saying you website heated by the EMD update. but can you know that is confirm or not? first you have to search that because that three algorithm update came to gather.... panda, penguin and EMD.

so first again confirm this thing you got the EMD update penalty or other..
if you got the EMD update penalty then start to build branding and hope you get good result.

If you don't want to go with the new domain then you need to rebuild the content of your website and try to serve the same services/products as you are promising in your URL. Content should be genuine, unique and of high quality. Keep updating your website so that you can always serve fresh content. Blogging can be a helpful activity in this context.

Do you have too much on-page SEO? If you do, then you should probably try to tone it down a bit. Also, remove all scraped content that you might have.
