I've handful of recent posting say "Yes, you should use fully qualified links."

Then on SEOMoz they say "no it doesn't, just be conistant."

Any thoughts?

What do you mean do fully qualified, I presume you mean dofollow links.

If that is the case what SEOMoz are recommending is that your link profile look natural and not overly skewed towards an unnatural profile of say 95%+ dofollow links. If you aren't doing massive amounts of link building and your site already attracts significant levels of natural links then probably just focus on building quality dofollow links. Otherwise ensure you build links from a wide variety of sources, focussing more on the traffic they will bring than the search engine benefits.

    Fully qualified links such as...

    hxxp://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-ppc-seo-discussion-forum/694708-do-fully-qualified-link-matter.html

    vs.

    /adsense-ppc-seo-discussion-forum/694708-do-fully-qualified-link-matter.html

What why should I be linking in my site? Lots of people say the first way.

I've never noticed that it mattered. Calling out images is a different story though.

The reasons images are different is because you will have issues using absolute paths when using SSL. This wll give you a sercurity error when someone accesses your secure area if not careful.
Also, by using a relative path, the browser knows to just look within your own web site's server space for the images. However, if you use the absolute path, the browser goes back out onto the Internet and finds your site all over again, then finds the images within your directory. So, using a relative path will make your site respond quicker.

There should be a ratio. Your links should have a proper ration of valuable, related, Do follow and No follow links. Remember one thing, All of them are important.
