Market Samurai = Slow?

Its useless software now. It was indeed fast when i first bought it. Now it takes more than 5 mins to do a simple keyword research.

You since a lot of these problems can be to do with your own system settings & local factors it's not possible to give you a practical answer on the forum. You need to ask Market Samurai directly

MS has always been REALLY slow. A better alternative, IMO, is the Google Keyword Tool (may as well go straight to the source) and Traffic Travis. (Free)

Market Samurai does have a lot of features but it's always been real slow. I have Longtail Pro which I think is one of the best kewyword tools out there. It's a lot faster than Market Samurai and a lot easier to use.You can check multiple kewwords at a time. You can check rank and competition. There are training videos that are really useful.

I agreed with this statement LTP is much faster and easy to use I too have MS on my Desktop I have it since 2010 backthen it was much faster and you have to learn how to use it too

MS may be slower but gives great information. Should not the most important step in creating your site be given a lot more time. Both programs have their merits. Even google keyword tool has many more great features than it did two years ago. Keyword research should not be a 5 minute, push button operation. Google keyword tool, LTP, MS or any other way you do research should not be a speed test. I think all are excellant ways for research.

It gives virtually useless information though when it comes to keyword research.

MS is a piece of crap.

Take the Google Keyword Tool combined with OSE and SpyGlass and you will have far more information than any of the garbage MS spits out.

Shame really. It was a great piece of software when it first came out, but whoever was behind it screwed up royal.

I mean, not charging a monthly fee, the fact that it runs on that Adobe Air crap, and now with the "weekly rankings data" ....what a piece of.

Has anyone else noticed the amount of Noble Samurai emails being sent lately? :rolleyes:

You can try reinstalling it and see if it works. Usually, you'll want to connect an adwords account to MS to help it get more keywords.

I've always noticed it was slow, but I still extracted value from the output. Bing may not be a great place to pull data, but from what I understand Bing only provides a fraction of the data, that they were no longer able to pull from google. I'll have to try LTP.
