Scrapebox - what is the highest amount of keywords you've harvested for in 1 run?

I'm curious if there is an unspoken limit to this.
Because anytime I try to harvest for a couple thousand keywords, the software runs for 30 mins then returns me an empty list with no domains.

I know its an error of some type because if I harvest for just 100 keywords, it works perfectly fine.

If I have a list of 2000 keywords I want to harvest for, do I need to break down that list into 20 smaller lists with 100 keywords each?

Because its never worked right for me when I try to harvest for thousands of related keywords.

Thanks - Red

Yes because nothing beats it for finding high pr/relevant backlinks. Which is what I'm trying to do but I'm stuck on doing it 100 keywords at a time, which sucks.

I've found incredible links this way and I'm trying to make the process go faster, but scrapebox refuses to scrape for thousands of keywords at a time. Its like it has a seizure then returns me an empty list.

I've done thousands of keywords quite often. Are you using proxies? Your IP might be getting shutdown by Google causing it to not find results.

I am using proxies but I'm using the same free proxies I've been using ever since I had scrapebox.

Maybe thats the missing piece of the puzzle, proxies.

So let me get something straight. If I have crappy proxies, but they work for smaller harvests, is it possible that a larger harvest would cause them not to work?

Is it the amount of time scrapebox is harvesting for, that is causing google to notice me and my low quality proxies? Because short harvests work fine like I said.

I'll change up my proxies and see what happens I guess. Thanks for the help!

It is possible it is the proxies. If I am using public proxies, I harvest new proxies everyday that I use Scrapebox. If you haven't changed your proxies in awhile, chances are you only have a handful of working ones. That could work for a smaller keyword list. For a larger keyword list, they probably would get burnt up pretty fast. Especially depending how many connections you have Scrapebox set to run at.

Thats exactly what it was Mike thank you!

I never paid much attention to my proxies but noticed most weren't even working anymore like you said. Just finished a 30 min scan and it returned a super long list.

Finally I can get some work done now! =]

    Thanks again -Red

      @Red

You might also, when you load the new found harvested proxy list into SB, check AFTER you have done a run using the new proxies, you will see that nearly everytime you do a run, especially with google harvesting, that they only seem to have one life, so we harvest, every run, test them and use new proxy list for new harvest

      Glad that worked for you.

If you are going to continue using public proxies, two things I recommend.

First, find some additional proxy sources to add into Scrapebox. You can find a ton out there if you look around a little bit. Some will suck. Others will be great. Trial and error.

Second, if you are doing harvesting with public proxies, sometimes it is worthwhile to do the harvest twice (especially if it is a rather large one), the second time with a fresh set of proxies.

Often you will find a lot of additional URLs the second time.

Alternatively, buy a bunch of private proxies and never worry about it again. For just promoting one site though, probably not necessary.
