Hi guys,

My site is pretty much tanked after the update and i made some mistake down the road with it anyway things i wouldn`t of done if i was starting again.

The best thing i did though was get into building a little personal blog network of which i have 6 PR4 domains, I was thinking about building a new site in the same niche targeting all the same keywords in other words building an identical site but with fresh content without some of the crap links and suspect keyword stuffing on some of the pages.

I can then go to my blog network remove the links pointing to my tanked site and replace them with links to my new site

This seem like a good idea to me lol

what do you guys think ?

Thanks James

    I think that's a very good strategy.

It's much easier to start fresh than try to revive the dead.

Also having a private high PR network does wonders

Keep it simple, if you've ranked before, you can rank again. The high PR will help. Just keep in mind that you need anchor text and link diversity. Best strategy is to use exact match kwds on the high PRs, and dilute your anchor text profile with supporting quality links coming from PR1+ properties.

    Cheers

If you know which mistake you have made then yes it is an option.

I would how ever not recommend to replace all links at once. Make it look natural and make sure it links to a source which adds value.

    I wouldn't do it.

Just changing where your links are pointing could be something that triggers a flag to Google to take a closer look.

Instead I would add additional content to the sites with links in that content.

I'm overly cautious with network sites, but that is how I would handle it.
