Hi everyone,

I am just wondering if anyone have a list of edu or gov websites so that we can get some back links from? I heard google loves back links from edu or gov, but I don't know where can I get back links from edu or gov.

    There are Fiverr gigs offering this one:

    Replace (YOUR_WEBSITE) with your URL then submit them to linkilicious, lindexed, etc. for pinging purposes. I can vouch that they're being indexed by Google (Have checked sites using these and these kind of backlinks are really being indexed)

    I don't think such backlinks (from .edu and .gov) will work for your website and will boost your SERP... Why? Because most websites are already spammed to death!

      Really? If you search on google and you will find tones of article says backlinks from edu and gov are much valuable than links from com.

        Try out the links if you want them, you may spend a day looking for 4 .edu links manually. Otherwise, buy from fiverr.

        The TLD does not matter, however EDU and GOV links generally speaking tend have a lot of quality backlinks which means that in many cases EDU and GOV links are more powerful,

        This is not because of the .edu or .gov TLD but more because these types of websites get many good quality links...

        There are plenty of .edu and .gov links which are useless

    .edu, .gov, .info, .org, .com all have the same amount of link juice. TLD doesn't affect the amount of link juice you are getting.

    The only reason why they say .edu and .gov has "more link juice" is because there are less of them compared to the other common TLDs like .com and .net.

      Even Matt Cutts says this on one of his Google webmaster help videos.

      As for why an edu or .gov backlink could be considered more relevant, maybe it has more to do with the site being do-follow and/or high page rank. That could make the link valuable. But that goes for any .com site too.
