I have launched a new site and building links slowly.How can I check if it is ranking for a particular keyword and where is it ranking?

better use a tool to check ranking of your site for a list of keywords you used..i use internet business promoter for rank checking..

  I still use brad callen's Rankerizer tool - a desktop top - works great for the 2 big search engines, just plug in and save your url, and list of keywords. Tool shows green rank for improvement, red for a drop. top 100 only. Number of backlinks to page, pagerank, graph of links and position over time. Cool tool. rankerizer.com I think.

How can I check if it is ranking for a particular keyword - for this you can search on Google as usual typing your keyword, but use different browsers..

I think since its start you can decide your top 10 keywords if any you want to monitor ranks and https://serpfox.com/ provides free 10 keyword tracking

I use cuterank to check all my rankings. works well most of the time...but it's very cheap and can check an unlimited amount of domains and keywords

No tool is 100% accurate. Best bet is to cross check with a couple of tools at least. As someone mentioned about Serpbook is good, and so is Serpfox.

If your site has StatCounter active then you would be able to know where visitors are coming from, what keywords they are searching to find the content within your sites... so it can be used for many purposes.
