Do you do the SEO for a large company?

Just wondering who of you out there run the SEO/work for the SEO department of large businesses. And more importantly, how did you get there?

I am now doing freelance SEO as a full time job, but finding clients when my current clients budgets run out can be difficult, but it pays better than most low level SEO jobs. So I was wondering how people make the jump from freelance SEO "expert" to full time SEO for a large company

I'm a link analyst/link builder for a BIG clothing company. I'm not allowed to say. Our company is straight ecommerce. Basically it's word of mouth. My best friend does PPC for this company, and they finally decided to hire a link builder for the SEO side. IM is broken into so many diff categories. We have PPC, e-mail marketing, Social Media, data analyst, International, SEO, etc. Anyways, this is my full time salary + benefits job. I absolutely love it.

The great thing is that it's me and one other person that runs SEO. And there's 300 employees for this company.

Go on indeed.com/careerbuilder/monster. You'll find some openings.

No you are not. I heard all you do is give the googley eyes to the models and hit buttons on SENuke all day long until your boss yells at you

Soon to be 299 since its like 2:00 pm in Cali and you are surfing WF instead of loading up some Web 2.0s in Senuke's diagrammer. Then you are going to blame me because YOU never got your network going after getting free training.

The world needs less of these idle GG guys. That aint how you do SEO for a large company.

On a serious note GGpaul was able to make the jump because he wasn't committed to doing SEO the way you see it practiced on WF. You basically have to unlearn everything because you tell them about GSA/SenukeX or fiverr and you are not getting the job.
