Links From Squidoo and GoArticles Not Indexed?

Hi everyone.

I've been doing some IM work for the past month or two.

I've submitted articles to EZineArticles, GoArticles, and put up a few lenses on Squidoo.

Now all these articles/lenses have links pointing to my main site. The lenses and articles have been indexed by google already (they come up in Google when I search "site:url.com"), but the links that I have pointing to my websites from GoArticles and Squidoo are not getting indexed somehow.

Its been over a week or two since I've submitted the articles to GoArticles and made the lenses at Squidoo. When I lookup my backlinks, I can see the links from eZineArticles, but nothing from Squidoo or GoArticles.

Am I doing something wrong or does Google take forever to index Squidoo or GoArticles links?

some of my articles form Goarticles did not get indexed until almost a month already. I don't know if it has something to do with the paid articles posted but that I don't know.

    Thanks

Thanks Shellanie. The thing is, the articles themselves are indexed, but the links from those articles pointing to my site don't show up in any backlink search at Google or Yahoo (links from articles submitted at ezinearticles do), or in any of the backlink search tools on the internet.

Yep it takes time with goarticles. I would also suggest using searchwarp.com. They are an excellent article marketing site with a strong community emphasis which means that people actually read them! Also i'm compiling a list of article directories and working on rating each and every one on the basis of approval time, circulation (based on visitor traffic and the number of times they are published) as well as page rank and backlinks. The idea is to help Warrior Forum members locate the best article directory sites to post on and avoid those that waste you time! you can view the list i've started Here. I've started with article dashboard sites and to date i've rated 50, but i'll be adding in the other top players like ezine articles, goarticles etc. Any other suggestions of good article sites would be greatly appreciated.

I did not find Ezinearticles in it, but am surprized to find ezinesarticle there which is a confusing domain name for sure...

I can't say I've achieved very good results with Goarticles when it comes to building backlinks. EZA is the way to go. Not only do I get lots of direct traffic from my Ezine articles but my articles get picked up and republished fairly frequently with my resource box, so plenty of bonus backlinks as well.

I don't know if the links are indexed in squidoo by google, but I do know
squidoo lenses get indexed quick, and that is what I use to
funnel traffic. The topic of whether links get indexed on squidoo
      was debated here earlier.

My Ezine articles get indexed fast but I don't find the same results with Squidoo. HubPages and Digg get indexed much faster.

Squidoo, Ezine and goarticle are popular place to build links.

I love squidoo and ezine but never trust goarticle bcoz it hardly indexed.

First i suggest you that what about your content in this 3 website. Is it smiliar? It can possible google filter out similar content.

2nd thing for squidoo it take a lot - it happens to me also:

(socialsearchenginemarketing blogspot com - search my blog for squidoo indexing problem)

Check out other squidoo page of your competition. If they are better than its hard for you to rank and indexed.

I can't say anything about goarticles because i don't use it. But EZA is the best way to develop backlinks and develop traffic. I also use squidoo lens and my experience with them is also pretty good. They have helped me in getting indexed in google.

    So Squidoo backlinks are worthless.

Am I right in assuming this?

      No, not at all.

Squidoo lenses usually build up a reasonably good PageRank, which makes any links from them quite valuable.

Two things to bear in mind:
      1) Google does not reveal the backlinks it knows with the link: operator
      2) Yahoo! does list all baclinks it knows about, but is sometimes slow to find them.

Never wait for google to find your articles. Use methods to get them approved in hours once they've been approved.

EZA are getting approved on their own really quickly at the minute. As for the others, get them indexed.

If you articles are indexed and cached, then google will know about your links. If the content on those pages are unique then they will hold some value.

Once your site is indexed by search engines(Google), the links on it are also automatically crawled. Anyway, pinging your links would greatly help your site for fast crawling of SE bots.

      Good point....

I do lots of pingomatic after posting blog entries, in addition to RSS submission.

based on my experience, that if your squidoo lens contains duplicate content it usually doesnt get indexed. with GA, i have articles approved there but the links dont also appear. I concentrate on EZA.

    Hello Guys...

I have also submitted an article to e-ezine since last week but I have not seen it indexed yet, when i checked my google webmaster, it shows that 5 url was crawled including the e-ezine article but only 1 url is still indexed.

Please, what am I doing wrong?

I checked the link of my e-ezine article maybe its not directing to my sites but No, its directing to my site....

So, does anyone know how what I might be doing wrong? or Is it google's fault..?

I've noticed the same thing. I read that GoArticles were awesome, but after weeks my backlinks aren't showing. I hope they eventually show, but I'm thinking something has changed recently.

squidoo has never worked out for any of my sites! i wouldn't spend hours on a lens. ezinearticles should be better since in theory they check for duplicate content.

Would it help at all to have a friend or two go to your squidoo page and click on the backlink? I guess I am wondering that if you have google analytics on the site then google would know about the incoming link and start adding it to the other backlinks?

I have a few friends and I always have them check my backlinks for me to 1. be sure they work and 2. be sure google is seeing them. I dont know if this really works but most of my stuff has been indexed in a few days or less.

Yeah squidoo takes time..but once its indexed it doesn't really do much for your PR from my experience, but I've received a few referrals.

Why are GoArticles backlinks so hard to get indexed? I ping my articles after submitting, but they don't appear on backlink checkers even months later.

Has anyone here found an effective way to get GoArticles backlinks indexed?

The only way I have found to get an article on GoArticles indexed quickly is by using AMR. I take the urls from my article I submit to Ezinearticle, Articlesbase, and GoArticles, and put them in the resource box in an article in AMR which I submit to all the auto-approve directories. The next day my GoArticles article was indexed and will have some backlinks to it as well.
