Linkbuilding with web 2.0 questions

Alright, so I'm planning on building tier 1 links primarily through high PR web 2.0 links such as from wordpress, tumblr, hubpages, and quite few others. Mainly as I'm able to make highly relevant, and unique content for quality link juice.

When I am building these web 2.0 sites, would it be wiser to just add backlinks to my own main money sites, or should I also add links to other relevant blogs that I don't own or monetize from?

Also, one other question, what would be the best tier 2 links for the web 2.0 websites to add more link power to pass along through the tier 1 web 2.0 sites then to the money site?

    I am not much aware about tired link building but I think you should build some good quality properties at web 2.0 sites. Backlinks from those sites can help you to get higher ranking for sure.

    We have done more manual links then 99% of the people here I bet and yes they still work and can work but if you just built them and do nothing only about 15% or so will index..We use images and sometimes youtube videos with links to the money sites we don't link other blogs to them. (unless they have a link to a site we are working).
