If you're looking for a domain(s) with traffic, Verisign just made it very interesting. They are now letting you search domain names that are available to register and sort by the amount of traffic those domains have.

Verisign has the traffic data because all .com and .net domains go through them. They have the traffic data (lookups or requests for those domains) and they're giving it out for free now. All you have to do is search by keyword and sort by the amount of traffic: and you can see how many requests per hour are for those domains. Then go register the domain you want, anywhere (like Godaddy with a $.99 cent coupon).

If you go to http://www.domainscope.com/ you can find domain names that are NOT registered.

Enter a keyword, then select "Available with Traffic" and then "discover". You'll see a list of domain names. You can sort those domain names by Traffic Score.

If you click on a domain name on the list, it will SHOW YOU THE TRAFFIC to that domain name. All you need to do is register the domain, park the domain, or redirect it (or host it with content).

Using this, I was able to register a marketing-related domain name today with over 5,000 requests/page views an hour.
