Backlinks/blogroll advantage

Hi,

I have website and I have decided to buy high pr(pr4, pr5, pr6) blogroll on homepage related with my website niche. Do you guys think, it can give advantage to my site or damage my site in serp/google.

Please advise.

    Depends, it is a risk regardless of where acquire the links as that violates Google's TOS. So yes, it can be a risk and could damage your serps at some point.

    However paid links like these work, I tend to avoid blogroll links as they are sitewide. A few aren't a big deal, tons of blogroll links are.

    I would suggest getting the highest quality blogroll link with your main primary keyword. Then another one or two pointed at internal pages and for other keywords you are optimizing for. Then wait. Don't go on a buying spree, only a few high quality links are needed these days for a lot of small-medium niches.

    Definitely damage if you get caught doing it. Do maybe just a few and focus on getting links from relevant/related sites? Will help you in the long run because you don't know how long those high PR sites will stay high PR.
