Rapid Adsense earnings drop

Starting yesterday afternoon, my earnings rapidly dropped in all of my sites with adsense ads. On one site where I have the best traffic and earnings, ads thats shown are totally irrelevant with my content (gaming site). It even shows some ads in HEBREW,tarot readings,snoring solutins and bul...t. My site is in Croatian language,what do hebrew ads do on my site?!
Did any of you run into this issue and is there some kind of testing running related to adsense ads ?
I hope someone knows something more about this.

      No... it's just normal. Be sure to get another Ad unit... This helped me solve this when I was still using Adsense... I also think there was an option to disable an URL to appear in your ads

    No one can help you if you don't tell about your statistics such as CTR, CPC, Traffic. For ex, traffic drop will let your earning down, etc, ...

    About irrelevant ads showing in your page: try to clear your web browsers' cache before visit your site to check again. It can be "interested based ads".

      My traffic remains the same as before. No traffic drop at all. I have 1500 UV average on this page daily. It is a site with flash online games. My CTR is same, but my CPC is reduced to a half as it used to be. 90 % of visitor came via Google search. I disabled interest based ads yesterday, so I will let it be like this to see what is going to happend now.

    Actually, I don't think disable interest-based ads can help you increase CPC. In my previous post, I mentioned to this kind of ads just because you said you see irrelevant ads.

    In my experience, drop CPC can be derived from:
    - low trends of bidding: you need to compare CPC at this time with CPC at the same time in previous years. If it's true, all you need is wait until the higher trend when advertiser pay more for bidding
    - your CPC is affected by smart pricing: normally, smart pricing don't let your CPC drop suddenly. And you have to monitor CPC for 2 - 4 weeks to know exactly it is smart pricing or not.

      Thanks for reply. My site is in croatian language. I wonder what relevancy do belgian ad against snoring have with croatian and with gaming, for example ? Second, yesterday I even saw an ad in hebrew on my gaming site . So I went to ads review center and manually block any kind of ads like above.

    From december 2014 adsense earnings drop a lot for most of the publishers . Let's hope in the next montsh will be better .

    I think I've found a solution. I installed wordpress adsense click fraud plugin, to help me prevent click bombing. After that, I noticed that one IP , for example, clicked 56 times on the same ad unit. Of course that Google Adsense consider this click bombing, and stops showing that ad. Insted of that ad it shows some ads with lower CPC, in hope that the click bombing won't appear. I hope everything will be back in normal soon.
    P. S. I am lucky that I wasn't banned because of this.

    It was Adsense Click Fraud, thats the name of the plugin. But, the problem was not that, but in my wordpress theme. WP theme is specific, since it has game.php file , which when you click on the "Play the game" button, pulls .swf file of the certain game from the base. But, something went wrong and the theme became broken, because no matter what game you play, the theme was always delivering the same game.
    After I fixed the site, I have mine AdSense earnings even better than it used to be.

    You think those ads suck wait until you get the local septic tank cleaning ads (not kidding).

    Local ads are the reason I dropped Adsense.

    IMO, If you want to run Adsense go with Youtube pre-roll ads where they force traffic to look at an ad before they can watch the video. You have to target high volume niches on YT when monetizing with Adsense, which isn't too difficult since the traffic is built into YT.

      Best practices would dictate that you diversify your income streams. It doesn't matter how well you're doing now, you can be absolutely positive that the Adsense rules are going to change.

      Having said that, make sure you're doing everything humanly possible to prevent click fraud of any kind. There is no coming back from that. Google will ere on the side of caution and you run the risk of being hammered for reasons only known to Google.

      Use a plug in like WordFence to at least limit the countries that can see your site. That's has always been my first line of defence.

    Like I said, everything is ok now. I can tell that, with my seven flash game sites, I earn about 20 $ a day. I am satisfied .

    It would be great if AdSense was stable, however from my experience it's best not to plan your future on AdSense earnings, I take each day as it comes. I was a little bit worried because my AdSense earnings seen the drop-off quite a bit compared to the last three months. For quite a while, mainly in November and December, I was bringing in quite a bit each day. Even though I'm quite happy, it hasn't been quite as good for the last couple of months. I have wondered whether the weather that we have a around the world has got something to do with it. A lot of my users are in the US, I know that they've had some bad weather there so maybe people haven't been using the computers quite as much as they were before Christmas.

      Who knows why one day you can earn £30, the next day £18.

      I just checked mine about an hour ago and today's earnings were at £31, I knew that wouldn't stay like that, they are now back down to £17. I seem to be averaging around the £20 mark this month which isn't too bad. I'm a UK-based website, but I would say 99% of my earnings come from US users. So it's two o'clock in the morning now, I would say I've got a good four hours of decent earning time to make up a bit more money :-)

      They'll always have some sort of lawsuit in the works, the bigger you get the more people try to take your money. If it's the latest patent troll lawsuit your talking about, Google didn't lose.

      Google's Giant $1 Patent Victory

      That $1 win might look funny but If Google didn't win that $1 court case they would have to pay out millions to cover clients that could be potential targets for the patent troll lawyers. Major win for Google.

    I honestly don't know what is wrong with AdSense at the moment. Yesterday was probably one of the most erratic days I've ever had using AdSense. My earnings were up and down all day. I think I checked around eight o'clock US time, earnings were around £25. According to yesterday's earnings when I checked today, they are just over £16. Don't get me wrong, £16 every day is very nice, but I wish AdSense would settle down a bit
