Page Rank and Linking Building - Any Relation?

Hi warriors,
I am doing a little research for my new project and I am wondering if the page rank or strenght of the site I am linking affects my SERP.

I have read in about 4 internet marketing blog that the page rank of the site linking to you doesn't matter but again I have read here on the warrior forum that it counts.

I am asking does it count?

Of course the page rank or strenght of the site you are linking affects your SERP.the higher the better.

What you want to do is find high PR sites that are related in topic to yours. A link from those sites with the proper anchor text will help your site rise in the SERPs.

PR doesn't have a huge impact your SERP but it is good to have as much PR as you can. You can find some forums/blogs with good PR and post your link there so get a good backlink.
