Goals on daily basis for SEO?

My site was hit by Google update and since I've gave up. I want to do something and ready to spend sometime daily to get it back on top ranking. It ranked very good before got hit. What are some good ideas to do on daily basis?

    Add quality niche related posts to the site and get quality niche related blog comment/forum post backlinks to the site, as well as "real" niche related social traffic.

    Google wants to see youre a "real" player in your niche before giving you any ranking love:-)

    Also get rid of any fake links from non niche realted sites that may be pointing to your site. As well as getting rid of any dupe content or non niche related posts on your site.

    Yes, you are right, you have to work on drip feed, set daily target. If you work continuously then your backlink get deleted, so work regularly. Create less links in a single day. And use utility contents only otherwise you can also get penalized by Google. Don't copy and paste from elsewhere, use your mind and try to write something unique that will help you to get quality backlinks.

    Once again, quality over quantity. Like what they've said, continuously create backlinks to your site. But this time, be cautious. Get only links to those that are relevant and with high PR.

    Well, i would say first of all have a look at google webmaster tool and see what type of penalty has hit you check for the manual action page for any sort of penalty like unnatural link or........ if there's isn't any trace I don't think you are hit by penalty hard just start participate over the forum, yahoo Q/A, ... etc and gain the backlinks from their signature panel start writing blog and start sharing it over the social media.

    Consistently post content to your site for at least 3x per week. What were your SEO prior to this update and what do you think caused your to be outranked? Quit doing the negative ones. The most common reason for getting affected by the update would be neg link building. I suggest you disavow the unhelpful links and start again.

      I think I got too many bad quality and irrelevant links to my site. Will have to use webmaster tool to find and delete those links.
      By the way, how can I find the blogs or sites to place my links on?

    hi i dont want to give you false hope. frankly said i have seen very few website which could recover after update. for that you will have to work really hard. you need you understand first due to which update your website have been penalized. i mean panda or penguin or any other update. so accordingly you will have to plan. if your website penalized due to poor quality content then you will have to change content of your website. you will have to remove poor backlinks or poor content. you will have to make your website more user friendly. friend lots of work and time involved in this. If possible buy new domain and try optimizing that site till then. May be that will work in less time that penalized site.

      It was Penguin and the reason probably was bad quality links.

    If your site is panellized by the Google algorithms update, then the very first thing is that you should check out it through webmaster tool that it is what type of penalization. After that, disavow all low quality backlinks. For this, you can again take the help of webmaster tool.
    1. Now, focus on quality rather than quantity.
    2. Try to make backlinks from high PR and niche sites.
    3. Create original and informative content for your site.
    4. Share your sites links and information on social media sites.

    Keep working on this site but also have a Plan B by creating a new website and do everything right on this new site. In case efforts to resuscitate your site don't work out, you have the new site to fall back on.
