SEO Warriors! I need help!
So I have a 10 months old wine niche site which was already ranking well for some keywords and getting good SEO traffic (400-500 visitors a day).
Just today I saw that I'm ranking in the high 90 for almost all of my keywords...
Is the site Google Dancing or was it deranked for good? Is there a way to tell?
I bought a couple of Fiverr backlink gigs (I know, I know!) In the last week - they created a few web 2.0 properties for me so it is not like I got thousands of spammy backlinks from it...
Should I disavow these links? How do I do that?
And finally what do I do to recover the rankings?
Thanks for your help!

I would be skeptical of those back link gigs and discontinue just m2c
To disavow check out this page for instructions https://support.google.com/webmaster.../2648487?hl=en

Fiverr backlinks/Gigs - no matter what they say or promise they are almost always rubbish. $5 doesn't get you far even if you know what you're doing!

Look back to when you was number 3 and rectify / delete / disavow anything inbetween.

I wouldn't worry at all at this moment of time. Keep an eye on them daily, write them down each day. You may see them jumping from 1st page to 9, then maybe to 4 and they might even disappear from Google completely.

This is normal, almost every single site I make does this, being brand new or only 8 months old. Google is just looking to put your rankings in the right place and these dancing spurs can last 2-3 weeks.

Keep adding content and you should be all good.

Well the only option you have is to delete the backlinks if you have access or add them in the disavow sheet so that you can get back to the situation wherein you ranked good for most of the keywords.

I would suggest continue updating and getting high quality links. Only several can improve your ranking. If there is no effect in the next months then you can try disavow. Does your site have high quality links at the moment?

Dances don't see #3 to #98, a few pages or positions sure but you won't see that kinda fluctuation with first page rankings.

I would say you shot yourself in the foot with those links. Fiverr is not a good way to get links for obvious reasons. You get what you pay for.

You may need to remove some links as well, you could have triggered a penalty depending on the exact links built. Web 2.0's can cause problems and trigger unnatural link penalties.

Disavow will not help you, if you want to get the links discounted you need to have them removed entirely. While in there you want to clean up the rest of the links as well, that way you are ready for the next Penguin update.

    Think for a second.

Is this site worth fighting for? I mean, does it have some "legit" links at all or is it built up by blog comments, profile links, fiverr gigs etc?

If I were you, I would start all over again from a fresh domain. Get the current site de-indexed and get the content to another domain. But this time try to get real links.

    Hope that helps

I won't even comment about the ridiculousness of this thread and most of the replies.

But I will start a new campaign. I will read the OP's post, multiple times, then take a
      gander at the sig. If they don't match up, B I N G O...we have a winner.

Now, I challenge anyone to look at the OP's sig. Put it in context of the "question."

      B I N G O! We have a winner!

Here's the real answer. Toss out your garbage websites and put your faith in your sigs.

I actually have a lot of quality backlinks build up - that's how I was ranking 3 in the first place...
I hope there's a way to go back to my original rankings!
      Thanks again

As Fiverr appears to have caused the trouble, they also have gigs for disavowing.

    https://www.fiverr.com/search/gigs?q...=1&layout=auto

In the meantime while they are hard at work, create another domain, using the same formula you used before. Once your site is cleaned of bad links (if it works) and you are confident, you can redirect your old domain to the new one.

I would use a few of these disavowing gigs, see how it goes

I can't get over all of the recommendations to use the disavow tool. Has anyone EVER posted positive results from using the disavow? I've never ever read any success stories. The only stories I've read are nightmare horror stories about how their rankings plummeted after using the tool.

Hey, I feel your pain. Fiverr gigs are often going to get you penalized due to big blasts creating too many links too quickly (and from bad places).

The best thing you can do to recover from a blast like that would be a combination of redirect & re-inventing your link building with high quality links. If you want to know more (I've done this hundreds of times), just pm me or check out my guide at Panda Breakthrough 2014 - Official Panda and Penguin Recovery System by Eric Lancheres

It's over for the site it's on googles black, why would you order fiverr gigs if you already ranking in top 3 and + have 'authority links' like you say you have .

Just make a graph of the top 100 and turn it upside down. Now see, you're 2nd.
