How to Monetize a Wordpress site

Hello,

I recently wrote a fairly extensive tutorial using Wordpress (paid for URL). After testing the water, I got approximately 2k views in the last 12 hours and it seems like it was pretty well received. Now that I know I got something that people are interested in, I need to know how to monetize it. The tutorial is broken down into 5 steps so I was thinking of requiring a membership in order to read past step one. Does anyone have any advice on a good way of doing this? Currently the tutorial is all compiled onto one website.

Does wordpress allow advertising? I am getting mixed responses to this question. Thanks in advance for your time!

    Your question is not clear. do you have your own blog?? or are you using WordPress platform for hosting your blog.

    If you have your own blog, there is no issue to put advertisement on your blog. You can use adsense, media.net, CPA offer. Clickbank offer for monetizing your blog and earn money.

      I think the question was about self promotion - to sell own tutorial, not about other ways of making money.
      Yes, you can promote yourself anyway you like it. Still, it isn't clear if you are using wordpress hosting or your own.
      Free part #1 and paid #2, #3... are good choice, wordpress have many great plugins to help you implement such system..

    If the WordPress is on a site, then you can monetize the site with AdSense. If the WordPress is on a blog, then you could make money by selling your product. Even though, people are reluctant to buying stuff from blogs, since they are not verified or the look not so reliable. Good luck!

    Install a WP theme that supports banner ads, and install a adsense plugin to run adsense in each post.
