I have a YouTube video that I want to re-make but I don't want to lose the stats I have. Is there a way I can re-make it without losing my stats and ranking? Thank you.

An Edit after the fact? I don't believe so. Once you change it, it is a new video.

It's a quiet easy thing to do. The YouTube video editor allows you to edit your videos directly on YouTube without loosing stats and views. Go to your video manager in YouTube and find the video to edit. Click the drop down box and click 'Enhancements". After that click "Trim" and go ahead to edit your video.

There is no way to change the whole video and put it up where your existing video is.
You can change title and description. Changing the description is ok, but even changing the title leads to a huge decrease of ranking.

Ok there is no way to change the video but what you can do is have a caption button with a link on the main video saying watch updated version or something of the sort. That way people will start watching your old videos and then get directed to your New Video. Hope this helps.

    Thank You

Samfakroon is correct, the best option is to put an Annotation link on the old video leading to the new video. You can easily edit existing videos on YouTube but once you save the edit YouTube saves it as a new video, leaving you with 2 videos up online, your original and your edited version. But really, if you have managed to create one successful video you should be able to create several successful videos. And bottom line is the more videos you have on YouTube the better your chances are of being seen in searches.

No you can't upload a new video and then keep the stats. If it's already getting alot of hits everyday, just make sure you edit it with annotations and description box text that leads to your website. And also be sure to list your website information at the bottom of your video also.
