The "Boost post" button on Facebook

OK, let's say you have 1000 followers on your facebook fan page
You make a post and Facebook sends it to some of them I now understand, could be as low as 10% (is this correct)
So to make some money from you Facebook offers to "boost post" feature to reach more followers?
Does this mean this feature now sends the post to everyone or just some of them?

Also, with your 1000 followers, would you send a link in your post to your website on every post or just some posts?

Must admit I am struggling with Facebook as it seems to me only one person getting rich (and that's FB)

    You need to get on youtube and watch some basic facebook ad video's before you even think about paying for advertising, not trying to be rude but sounds like you do not have the slightest clue of how the platform works and frankly I don't have the time right now to write a beginners course in this thread.

    You will find that I have already stated I am a beginner. Most of the FB videos do not seem to advice on the "FB boost button" Oh look, sorry, I haven't got time for you right now!
