New at Facebook Ads. I have Questions &(hopefully) someone might have Answers

I'll start:
1. Do I need to have an FB page for every offer I market?
2. Can I use Github Pages as my link whereby I redirect the customer to the actual offer website?

I'm either trying to run a $1 ad campaign for 2 weeks, or run a $5 ad campaign for 2 days (not sure yet). Need to test the offer. My question being:
3. Do I have to manually stop the ad after the period is over or does the ad stop automatically?

I would not want my ad expenses to go beyond what I calculate.

I literally have never done anything like this before. I am going to be pushing an ad with a direct link to my github page which will then redirect to the offer.
4. Is this feasible? Will Facebook allow it? Am I going about this the correct way? Am I missing something?

Any help on any of this much appreciated, thanks.

    1. If you want your ad to be displayed somewhere other than the side column of facebook page, then your ad will need to be associated to a facebook page. If your link is a referral or affiliate link (not a clean link), you'll need to use a facebook page.

    2. Ok, you don't want go through facebook page, just make sure that your link is clean. At most let it be something dot com or something dot com/something

    3. You will set the maximum amount that will be spent on any ad you run. The ad will automatically pause when that amount is reached. But know that you will still have to monitor the ad for performance. For example, if you are getting 50 cents per click and you set $20 for the ad campaign, this means you will end up getting a maximum of 40 clicks for the $20 even if you planned to get 200 clicks at 10 cents per click.

Basically you don't just set up the ad and the maximum budget for it and forget about it, you'll have to keep monitoring it's performance to make sure the cost per click has not overly increase. If the cost per click has increased drastically as a result of poor performance of the ad, then you will simply have to pause it manually and modify the ad.

    4. Whether facebook will allow your link or not in their link ad is something you will have to find out by testing. Just know that if the link is not a clean link, they will not allow it. But I advise you to test it first, just make sure you don't do too much test that gets rejected.

FB Ads is a very complex, yet effective marketing strategy for experienced marketers. FB Ads is not forgiving... and in my opinion, based on your questions I don't think you're ready.

There are far too many variables with Facebook ads to discuss here, so I will spare you all of the details.

However, just to get your feet wet... I would recommend spending about $5 to boost a post from your fan page to help get you familiarized with a portion of the process.

So, before you venture off throwing money away on FB Ads... try and find some comprehensive training first.
    Good luck!
