Affiliates using facebook ads for weight loss products. please come in

Hello everyone

I have noticed a recent attack by facebook on almost anything related to weight loss or losing weight on the platform. I would like to know if anyone is experiencing the same thing. I would also like to know how you promote your own offers with Facebook ads

I've been running ads and a lot get approved without hassle. Recently i tried running an ad on a weight loss product and my ad account got flagged.

Note that I'm aware of the policy against using the word "you" and "your" and I don't use those words in my campaign

Your advice is most needed and highly appreciated. Thank you

If your account got flagged it might not be because of the offer..usually it's an account "security" problem (you might have used a different location for managing the ads, or there is smth with the payments you made, etc..)

Although it stated my ad was flagged for policy violations, i think you have a point there

I remember getting a security alert on my phone and Facebook asking me to verify using my phone number.

I've tried contacting their help team but nothing positive yet

they are cracking down on the weight loss niche and other niches where claims are hard to prove in the wake of the new facebook scandal.

There are ways around it if you make enough money to make it worth the effort.

otherwise you might want to start looking for the exit and use other networks.

Currently in the fitness/bodybuilding industry and plan on being an advertiser. I'm new at all of this, but is it bad to use before and after pics? What about just using the 'after' pics, where all the progress is seen in the physique?

I dont think you can use before or after pictures. They have very strict guidelines when using before and after pictures. You could get your account banned easily from this.

I believe that Facebook should be leveraged to build a list after finding a profitable campaign. I have seen that they can decide to not approve something they approved before. It has happened to me once in the past (for one or more copies of one main campaign). I have not promoted weight loss recently on that ad platform though. What you may try is to promote the fan page instead of the post itself. See if they accept that. Jerry Banfield reported getting success with that setup to promote a site related to the blockchain.

hey dude, definitely you have a trouble with their policy, and really you should try to get what you did wrongly! one other thing i could suggest is to try to reach another traffic source, and run it over there.

I'm new to this variant, barely scratching the surface, and I'm trying to get an idea of what a acceptable landing page for facebook in nutra products would look like.

    Can anyone share something ?

Indeed, FB has made it very difficult for the weight loss niche. Because it targets the people's painpoint and quite frankly FB has made these affliate super wealthy in the past. I guess your other alternative would be someone else's email list. Solo ads in other words. You can get results from there.

Weight loss on Facebook hasn't been "compliant" (in 99% of cases) for nearly five years now. If you were running them without hassle recently then it is most likely that you somehow got by the review system and got a manual review once you spend some money. This happens all of the time and people think that a policy has changed when all it was is that their luck ran out.

    Hi,

It is a nightmare promoting weight loss products or services with Facebook Ads and you absolutely can't use the words weight loss or any other related word.

I personally wouldn't run weight loss products or services with Facebook Ads as quite frankly it is a total nightmare and you will be living in constant fear of getting your ad account shutdown.

As others have said, Facebook are really starting to drop the hammer on a lot of things now with Facebook Ads so my advice would be to try the Google Display Network instead and send people to a bridge page with valuable content and then a link sending people to the offer page.

Hi! I promoted weightloss product in spanish on Facebook ads. But it´s kind of tricky to get the Ad approved. You have to be "soft" in your ad and in your landing page. That means: No hard images. No telling people "are you fat?" Not write anything that can potentially make them feel bad. or talking specifically about them. I have to change my ad and landing pages a few times before it got approved.

Weight loss is not allowed on facebook and if you want to get approved , you need a proper landing page first that you can later redirect to your main offer page.

Bitly links does not work in this niche.

The problem may not be promoting weight loss products because my friends promote weight loss products on Facebook and make huge profit. I could be as a result of not abiding by Facebook rule(s).

FB changes all the time due to the algorithm updates. I dont use FB ads to sell my weight loss products. I use a personal profile and all my sales come through my profile.
