I can tell you I do that.. specifically I get my followers up past 100 usually before I start running ads

Warming up the profile is important, add legit people not all at once, intervals between posts and like and comment on some pages. Just some simple things to do.

There is a common theory about Facebook's algorithm when it comes to ad services. Since I have been experiencing that for a few years, I can say this with confidence. Once you have started boosting your posts, your likes, comments and other audience activities will start to diminish and you may have to increase your budget constantly to reach your goals regularly. And as long as you have grown a lot organically, you have a better chance in the future while using the ad services.

It is very simple, the organic growth indicates that those people have legit interest in your content, while the ad services try to attract the people by guessing that they ''may'' like your content. see the difference now?

Well if you just start ads where you will move traffic away from its website then they wont like it and you will be caught in automatic spam and your account will be locked which can be revoked by contacting support.

Thus its always suggested running some normal ads like ppe so that you can have some credibility and thus they wont ban you easily.

  • Depending on the size of your network (eg: if you have a huge follower base or are a reasonably established brand), then a cold campaign might be fine. But if you have zero market penetration, it will be more cost-efficient to start with a traffic or engagement campaign to warm up that audience.

The real questions to consider are what your niche is and how compelling your ads are.

Honestly, it depends on your business... Getting data on the pixel definitely will help so that you can use lookalike audiences and such. However, I have personally run conversion ads on a pixel with no data and have gotten many sales. You just have to test it, Facebook is really good at finding the right people for you.
