IGTV videos will soon have automatic closed captioning
Social Media Today reports that Instagram is adding automatic captions for new IGTV uploads.
Users can toggle to enable auto-generated captions in the caption settings. Of course the generated text will depend on the clarity of the audio. Facebook also explains:
It's notable that Facebook has already been offering automatic captions on video uploads on the main Facebook platform since 2017. The accuracy of their captioning system is also improving.
