Social Media Today reports that Instagram has started testing a new FAQ option for direct interactions with Business Accounts. The platform is trying out the new FAQ option via business accounts, which presets possibilities for brands to offer easy to access Q & A functions within their direct feed, so customers could use the option to submit queries and ask questions.

What is the Instagram FAQ option?

The new Frequently Asked Questions option on Instagram would allow brands to essentially perma-post answers to their customers' most frequently asked queries, saving time and improving the experience of potential new shoppers - who might even become loyal followers. This process would all happen right in front of customers and make it extremely easy for them to quickly find the information they require to make a buying decision, in many cases. Matt Navarra recently shared a screenshot of the process:

Currently, there seems to be a four-question limit, but that could change later. The author mentions that Messenger already offers a similar option to users:

Facebook appears to be keen on integrating all of its messaging functionalities, so it makes sense that the same is also being done with Instagram - plus, it aligns with the platform's Ecommerce ambitions. I think this is probably a good thing for marketers in general - anything to make answering commonly asked questions easier is great for customer satisfaction and just makes many buying experiences smoother, more pleasant, and more efficient too. What do people here think?
