Youtube Ranking Questions

I am a newbie on Youtube so this might be a newbie question so please bear with me. I often see courses teaching us how to rank Youtube in the first position for a keyword. However, it seems that position No.1 or first page rankings on YT search are much different than the position on Google search. Obviously, if you are in position No. 1 or on the first page on Google you will get the bulk of the traffic from the search but on Youtube, I often see many higher ranking videos getting very low views compared to lower-ranking videos

So what is the reason behind this and does that mean ranking on the top positions on YT search is useless? Hope any YT experienced marketer can chip in. Thanks.

    Hey, I'm not a pro in Youtube ranking as well, but it's really interesting question, what is the different in YouTube ranking and Google ranking
    I believe keywords are still important in Youtube ranking, number of views and subscribers

    Actually i am also a newbie in the internet marketing and specially for youtube coz i am into google serp's only. But i must say you have raised a very interesting and important que. I am also curious about youtube's procedure, how they are managing the whole thing. I mean what is the standard process to achieve the top spot. The little bit i know is you have to add video title ,description and related tags into it. That's it. But whats the next step?

    I hope any experienced youtube professional will land on this thread and solve this query for us.
