How does Facebook monetization works?

Hello all,
This is Rouble from india. I am new and very glad to be here.
So will go straight to the question.
I want to make a facebook page and I have good ideas where I can make great content on, but obviously want something and more than something in return but my question is how does monetization on facebook really works. I know how it works in the case of blogs but still not very sure of facebook. There are always some ads on the right side of the page which are clickable? Are those links the real deal?
And how does this whole affiliate thing works with facebook.
I am here with a great hope that the friendly folks in here can help me.
Thank you.

It's rather simple, advertisers create ads that are targeted towards a specific demographic. The advertiser then pays for the ad by allocating a daily budget and deciding on whether to use a Cost Per Click or Cost Per Impression method.

MaxBounty talks more about Facebook ads in a recent blog post, so be sure to go check that out here.

I have been unable to find a real answer as to this question...

What is the difference between running ads on the sidebar that go straight out to a lander or offer page and creating fan pages? Which is better in your experience?

Fan pages are great, but it doesn't work well for every niche. Comparing utilizing fan pages to Facebook ads is like apples and oranges really. Facebook ads are obviously much quicker to implement but also cost money. If you can organically build a Facebook fan page that is relative to your niche, then you've essentially created a list of users that you can promote to.

Someone from another forum posted this, does this sound accurate or like a good strategy? Yes I know the English is bad lol

          1. create a girl dummy
          2. add your 5 close friend that you know the picture in case of account verification
          3. join to adding group post "add/follow,then follow back" but don't send friends request to them just wait the member to add you.
          4. if you have a lot of friends request "delete them all, all the deleted friends request are automatic your followers.
          5. just make them followers of yours until you reach 100k followers them convert to page

Facebook is just a traffic source. You monetize it the same way as any other, by driving people from there to offers. How you get them to click can be slightly different than other traffic sources, but don't over-complicate it. There's no magic involved in FB.

Facebook advertising will get much better results than a Fan page, which you don't pay anything. Fan Pages get more and more limited exposure. I've had really good results with the sponsored post that people see in their newsfeed.

If you learn to target your ads and choose good text you can get some decent results.
