Large Authority Site - We Built It, They Came... How to get them to stay?

Hello,

First time posting a wanted ad so be gentle. :p

We have built a large authority site in a non-marketing niche focused on the Canadian government. We are currently seeing 150-200 uniques per day and have had only 5 user registrations in the past week.

We are using the Freemium model. Our goal is to get users signed up and then promote our premium features.

We are not running on WP, we are built using DotNetNuke. However, we are not looking for coding, we have our own developers to handle that.

We are specifically looking for design suggestions and HTML or CSS techniques that are proven to work to get users registered. We have facebook login and can also enable twitter login.

I will provide the domain to those interested who submit references or examples of past work.

You should re-write this ad as a question for the Main Forum. Ask people to review your site,ask how to get people to stay on the site, And finally if everything on the site looks good and functions properly. Before paying a coder to do alot of work, and people still leave your site with out signing up.

Hello brettlevert,

My initial diagnosis of your website problem might be conversion - that is converting your visitors into actual registered users but that can only be one of the symptoms. It's possible that there's more than what meets the eye.

It would be premature to guess at this point and the best way for us to be of help the most is to check on your website.

Great suggestion, I will take your advice and see what kind of response I get. A bit hesitant to put a link to my site here on the forum though.
