Use the new feature to analyze a keyword niche in a snap - it's based on in-depth research of top 10 pages ranking for the keywords you're analyzing.

How is Keyword difficulty score determined?

Without disclosing the actual secret sauce used to estimate difficulty score for keywords, we can say that it takes the following factors into account (among other things):

• A page's Google PageRank
• A domain's Google PageRank
• The number backlinks to a page
• The number of backlinks to a domain
• A page's on-page optimization rate
• A site's Alexa Rank
• A page's social signals (G+, Twitter and Facebook)
• How old a page is, etc.

All of these factors are considered for each top-ranking page that shows up in search engines for your keywords.
