I found more sources sharing free wordpress themes, I liked some out there.

My question is, I should use free WP themes, does it have any risks for exploiting my site? if so, how to check?

Ummm, I'm not sure where you get your information. The fact is that WP is NOT designed the way you suggest. Many WP sites are easily attacked unless security measures are taken. This normally includes installing security software, hiring third party services, and more.

    You have several options here.

    You can use free themes.

    You can buy your themes.

You can design your own themes.

You can hire someone to design your themes.

    Or

You can stop creating problems where none exist
and get busy working on your WordPress site(s).

If you are selling some high end product like Rolex
or something make sure your shopping cart is secure.

  • Free Themes doesn't exploit your site to any risk.

Just use a security plugin for your website and you get your site secured.

Agree with you, In the case of WordPress, the official Theme Directory is a fantastic resource for free themes, and it only includes themes that have been through a rigorous review process.

Some plugins let us check our installed themes to see if they meet the standards set by WordPress. This way, we don't have to worry about the free theme. A passing score doesn't mean that our theme is perfect, but it is a sign that you are using good coding practices.

The only thing you want to be careful about is how fast the theme performs once you install it. Don't just choose a theme based on looks and appearance alone, speed is as important. Security wise you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

WordPress free themes works perfectly, they are safe and secure! If you will go for the WooCommerce, you can use the Storefront theme, it's wonderful and has everything you need. Twenty Twenty is super for the WordPress alone.

First of all let me one thing to define here that free is free. Free theme is not a long time solution. You should prefer paid one, not free, because free theme can be possible to crack the theme.

No technical risks in general, without prejudice to the said (I mean that you know how websites work in general and can spot the abnormalities right away or even from description, and not after one year))). Luck!

Keep in mind all other risks come altogether and in full. The abstract is: hidden price you pay indirectly in a long run, and it's totally not "free" as in "freedom". Better find someone to have a brief conversation.

There is no harm in using Free themes. Many website owners and businesses are already using free themes to power their websites.

    Greetings.

As a current user of free and premium templates I can tell you the following:
    1. With free themes you may have to link back to the theme's creator webpage
    2. Most premium templates have more design options than free themes
    3. Free themes can 'expire' if the designer stops updating them. Premium themes are usually updated often or at least once in a while.
    4. Premium themes tend to look better than most free options
    5. Your market can smell "cheap" if you try to cut corners
    6. You can find premium themes at a relatively low cost
    7. Many free themes are all you'll need for a long time
    8. Free themes are well, free. That can be enticing

With this information make up your own mind. Good luck!

Yes of course you can use free wordPress themes. Free is always a good thing for new website owners. There is no risk by using free wordPress themes. Themes which are available in wordpress are officially approved. My suggestion is to: use security plugins.

Sure. There are many free WordPress themes available. You will find several theme options, some of which are free and some of which are paid. Using free themes to explore your website is completely risk-free. I have used different Word-press themes, and I find them quite good. Many of them are free.
