deleted index.php

I deleted index.php from public-html on the hostgator cpanel.

I don't have back up!!

I contacted hostgator,they would charge me 15 bucks to restore!

Is there any way I don't want to pay and get the index.php back?

    If you don't have a backup of it anywhere else you should consider yourself lucky to even have this $15 option.

      Do you have a local version? Seems like you'd have a local version if you've done any updates of the file.

      If not, consider it a $15 lesson and in the future:
      1) Download all files to edit locally.
      2) Before editing, make a backup of entire directory.

    Where did you get the index.php in the first place? Is it from Wordpress? Or another software product you can download again? Was it installed using a one click installer?
