Opinion on potential design

Hi,

I did the attached design in Photoshop on my lunch break and before continuing with it I'm interested in getting some feedback on it.

It's set to fit in 1024x768 (not height-wise) and I think it may be lacking imagery + I haven't had an idea for a footer yet.

    It's definitely different. I like the uniqueness of it but I think an image or two may help. The tags seem to overtake the page a bit too much, might wanna make that a bit msaller in my humble opinion of course.
