I answer yes, because obviously Joomla is useful if you know how to use it.

I'm a Drupal fan, so yes there is a better CMS.

Drupal recently just won (again) the best CMS award by Packt too.

I agree, Drupal beats Joomla hand over fist. It has a better community, is more developer friendly, and the templates created for it are generally of higher quality.

Drupal is more powerful, has more tools, and more add-ons. Joomla might be a bit easier to learn, however. I'm not saying Joomla is bad, just that I think Drupal is better.

    wayfarer is spot on.

There is a slightly steeper learning curve with Drupal. If you are ready for it, you will have a powerful content management system in your hands.

Joomla! has a learning curve for my clients. I distribute a few how-to-videos to help them along. I use it as my favorite CMS, but I tend to do my own sites in manual PHP pages these days.

I'd say it's good but it still needs a robots.txt file chucking in with a site to control a couple of its duplicate content issues.

designbuyers2007, why does it need a good server?

Aaron H, what is robots.txt file? Maybe you may want to briefly explain to me?

    Thanks! =)

Joomla demands good server specification, I think that's what he's trying to say. In shared hosting, you may risk hogging the resources if you don't know how to optimize your installation.

I run Drupal on a VPS with 512MB memory without any problem, and it is lightning fast.

Btw, you may want to check the benchmark for those two CMS in Google. One of them would be

You mileage may vary, but Buytaert is Drupal's project lead.
