A lot of people seem to have a lot of troubles figuring out how to change the footer links in the Genesis Theme Framework by StudioPress.

No longer can you go to the footer.php file under the Appearance editor and change out the links. It's much more involved than that now.

Here is how I change them:

1: Log into your cpanel and go the file manager (or thru your FTP client)
2. Browse to: wp-content/themes/genesis/lib/functions
3. Edit or download and edit the file named: output_functions.php
4. Find the string of code "creds"
5. Below that you will find the footer links. Edit them as you wish and save or reupload to your domain overwriting the old output_functions.php file.

I don't know if this is the easiest or best way to do this, but this is what I figured out and do to edit all of my theme's footer links that are built on the genesis theme framework

    @skorpion,

    Thanks for your great info. I was wondering can you give me a little help.

    I'm using Genesis Theme Version 1.4 with Child theme - free lance.

    They have an page call footer text, which I hv include links like about us and contact us in it.

    I've wanted to add this footer text page to every single page and post but I'm not able to do it. Do you know how this can be done?

      Hi,

      You would add it to the same file that I talked about above...in the "creds" area.

      Hope this helps.

    @skorpion (Peter),

    Thanks for your reply. I can't find "output_functions.php" in the wp-content/themes/genesis/lib/functions folder. :confused:

    Here's what I see in the folder:

    Code:
    http: // tinypic . com/r/161xjb5/7
    I'm sorry I cannot post image here as I do not hv enough post count.

    Can you advise me what to do?

    I'm a noob with genesis but I think this is a great framework and theme.

    @skorpion (Peter),

    By the way, a second question, do you know how to change the font size and type so that I can use that as a standard instead of having to format it every time during a new post or page? Thanks for your help in advance.
