Add on domains vs. new account?

Hi there,
I am currently hosting my primary site for my off line business with Bluehost, which offers unlimited add on's. However, I am also going to be starting a couple of other blog/web projects unrelated to my off line business. Can I simply assign these new domains as add on's to my primary domain? Or would it be best to open a second account for these new domains, considering they are unrelated to my primary domain and business?

In other words, does having unrelated add on domains affect page rank of the primary domain?

Thanks.

Not Sure about BlueHost but Hostgator shared has addon domains. I would not advise for you to get another account but rather use addon domains.
Addon domain and primary work exactly the same and it is a good practice to utilize addon domain and learn how it works. Besides it's 'best practice' especially if you have a lot of domains and sites to manage.
As far as I know it doesn't have any major influence (if any) on your page rank.

Bluehost and Hostmonster, siblings, provide for add-ons, as do others. The only sign they are under the same account will probaly be your information in your account login. I don't think the similarity or differentiation is detected elsewhere.

You may run a site info scan at robtex dot com, and you can see what info pops up, since you can delete add-ons later if you find weird info.

You can also see a few of your IP neighbors, and an approximate count if your have a shared hosting with a shared IP. netcraft dot com may also have other info for your intel.
