A question about WP and html templates

Hi!

I was wondering if I can use my own HTML template on a WP site?
Or transfer the html site template to something that I could use on a WP site?

Or is it a must to use WP themes only?

Or would wordpress even be of any use for me, like easier editing or useful plugins when I'd be using it for a salespage, thank you page etc. ?

Heck, does wordpress even support salespages etc. or is it just for the "real" sites ?

I'm sorry if these are ridiculous questions but I don't really understand these things yet

You could always download WP and install it in a subfolder (or subdomain) and see what it does.

It is a CMS = content management system.

Your HTML template doesn't work on/with WordPress - unless it is converted into a WP theme. A WP theme = a set of specially coded template files with a CSS file + images, if needed.

For simple stuff as squeeze page or sales page you don't need WP. Although you can use it.
