HI am a newbie to internet marketing and need a webpage developed. I don't really know where to go and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of people that have done a good job and that they felt that they could trust.
I am in Australia so any recommendations in my time zone would be welcomed

Regards,

If you are a newbie, why not consider something like Wordpress? It's free and simple to setup. You can then manage the site and its content yourself. Plus there are loads of free plugins for it.

    Just a thought.

    Hi there
of course I recommend myself, and though on EST in the USA, I have loads of clients in AU and the UK, i work weird hours (til 3 or 4am)
BUT if you are new and prefer to mess around with your site yourself, go for wordpress
if you have hosting with cpanel and fantastico, you can go ahead, install it yourself at no cost, update your own site, etc.
like someone above said, you can get so many great plugins, if a blog type of layout/platform will work for you, I say go for that. THEN when you are ready, if anything you can get a custom theme made up for you if you can't find one off the shelf

I would have to agree that WordPress is the quickest free way that you can get a site up, and still have control over the content.

There are a few other alternatives to building a site, even if you are promoting an Affiliate Program, some might consider them black hat, but one of these techniques was even talked about on Affiliate Project X.

I would say though that you need to set up a lead capture system no matter how you go, and do it right from the start; you need to build relationships with people, and be able to follow up with them.

I have had great luck with both wordpress and joomla, and have had no problems learning either.

They both give great results for quick sites. Plus there are 100s of plugins for any application you want.
