Wordpress and custom squeeze page

Hi,
Please forgive me if I am asking stupid question. I have searched but I was unable to find the answer to this question.

I am about to start my first Word Press website. I am planning to have a (probably video) squeeze page designed on fiver and I really like the Elegant Biz theme WSO. I have been watching tutorials about WordPress and I am starting to get an understanding of how some of it works (installing themes, adding plugins, working with widgets etc). But when I search for info about squeeze pages it is mostly on how to create them in Wordpress. What I want to do (if possible) is have somebody design one for me and then add it to the site. But I don't want to have something designed to find out that it won't work on my site.
So I am wondering: Can I just upload any squeeze page into a Wordpress site? How does that work? Do I just copy the HTML code of the squeeze page into a text Widget? Does the choice to use Wordpress (and theme) have any consequences for the squeeze page that I would have to take into account?

Also I would like to personalize (brand) the site a little bit but I have never dealt with Word Press sites before. Only "regular" sites in the passed where I just asked a designer to design a website (based on some input).
So do I just tell him the same (make a nice design) or do i need to show him the theme? Do I need to give him access to the theme?
Just not sure how the design process for a Wordpress site works I guess.

I Hope somebody can shed some light on all of this for me..

    In a nutshell you'll want to find a 'theme' for WP. There's literally 1000's so you're biggest 'problem' will be wading through them to try to find one you like.

    To answer you other question about a custom squeeze page, you should read about 'custom pages'. They're really simple to add and they literally take 10 seconds.

    It's just a matter of ensuring it's a PHP page and having a header like...

You html page would go here...
    ...at the top of the page. Then drop it in your chosen themes folder and select the new custom page template when setting up a new page.

      Thanks for the quick reply. I think I understand the custom page concept. Thanks for that piece of info!

      When it comes to themes I really like the Elegant Biz theme WSO (It seems to have just about everything I could want) so unless I get some advice from somebody more experienced, that is the theme I will go with.
      So how do I brand that? I am thinking I will I need install it, set up the layout like I want it and then show it to the designer so he/she will know how to design for it. However if there is a simpler way that would be great!

        Not sure what you mean by how to brand it. Your brand comes from the content and design and more important, your overall image. I'd recommend starting with a copywriter or marketing consultant who knows copywriting FIRST and then hiring a designer. For most themes, you don't really need a designer; you can get a temporary heading from Fiverr.com and many themes allow you to install it without knowing any code. Once your business starts to grow you could consider a designer.

          Thanx.
          And no, I was not planning on spending a lot of money on a designer at this point. And I understand that content is a vital part in "branding". However, the branding I am talking about is visual branding, which is still something I want to do even if it is a little bit. I have as a matter of fact already had an awesome logo designed.
          So my plan is indeed to find some design through less expensive channels (like Fiverr for example). My problem is that I really don't know anything about designing for Wordpress, so I am not sure what to ask for (even on Fiverr). Actually, all I see on Fiverr are headers (you mentioned it too). So I guess for now that's what I will need to go with.

    I am just learning a little bit about WP design also and I would like to make a suggestion that you may or may not have considered that I am currently using.

    I purchased "Wordpress Web Design For Dummies." It would still take a lot of work to do what you want to, but you could learn some ideas about what is required and what kind of questions to ask.

    Good luck with your project!

    EDIT: The book is designed for people who want to work on the design aspect of WP, thus it is very useful for these kind of projects.
