How to build a membership website with wordpress or joomla?

Hi there everyone, i need to create a website either on wordpress or joomla, the website will be a membership website for a modeling agency where models can come and register their profiles and then they will also be able to edit their profiles and so they also can upload their images gallery on their profiles.

Any kind of help will be appreciated

      Thanks for the suggestions but extension like joomsocial or community builder will not meet my requirement. Am not going to build a social network, the website will be very simple. A membership website for professional models where they can register their accounts and can create/edit their portfolios/profiles. The portfolios/profiles will only contain basic contact information about them, their pictures and videos.

            You can only do those community things with profile etc, when you have a software that can support that - so, wordpress isn't working at all, joomsocial / k2 / community builder would be an option - but if you don't like that either, then there would only the more professional option: SEBLOD

            It's a cck for joomla and i love it - it's very hard to understand, the learning curve is rough - but you could build your simple views on your very own way.

        The title of your thread is, "How to build a membership website with wordpress or joomla?"

        Wordpress does not have that function and you don't want to use any Joomla components so what was the purpose of starting this post in the first place? :confused:

    You can use a plugin called Profile Builder to allow members to edit their profiles within WordPress. They have a pro version which allows photos and extra fields.
