Easiest way to add graphics.

I'm trying to bring more attention to a link on my homepage which goes to an e-mail subscription page. Right now its just in plain text, so I think adding some red arrows or something would help convert visitors to subscribers.

Anyone have any suggestions as how to get this done?

disclaimer: ** almost completely illiterate when it comes to webdesign **

Also, does anyone use optin skin plugin?

    <a href="link to your subscription page"><img src="link to your image"></a>

    If you have a wordpress site just add it into a text widget. If site is html/php edit the source code to place the code where needed.

      Agreed! This is the easiest way to do it when you have little or no skill in getting a great looking graphic up.

      Remember to make the link blue though. Blue links tend to attract more clicks.

      Wow! thanks for the responses everyone

      I am using a wordpress site - so I'll look into editing the text widget.

      Are there files that need to be uploaded as a sort of database for the graphics?

      Ultimately, I want there to be red (or blue) arrows pointing to the link and to have the text to be larger and more noticeable.

        Now, I'm having a hard time changing the text size, color, and font of the link that its pointing to.

        Anybody know how to make changes to these?

          You can create the text part and style it whatever way you want by using a WYSIWYG editor that allows you to copy the source code. Even the WP post editor can be used. Or google "online wysiwyg editor" where you can find editors with more fancy styling options. Finally you have to find and copy the source code (only the part between "<a .........." and "</a>") into the text widget.
