You could embed a video to your landing page using vimeo. But I've heard that it doesn't work well on mobile forms. Have you tried using HTML5? Maybe that could work.

This is the html5 video player I use, you will need a copy of your video in .mp4 and .webm for the player. It is responsive and also supports ads and social sharing options.

Indeed Vimeo is the best option, lot of people are using vimeo when want to show video in their own website rather than youtube.

At this point I've narrowed it down to html5, jw or flowplayer.

Does anyone have experience with flowplayer? I don't want the videos to lag or buffer.

    Flowplayer is good too.

Where are you going to host your videos? That will usually make a much larger difference in playback quality than the player you're using.

Namecheap has been working well for me. I don't host a ton of videos there, but I do host some.

Look around the forum too. There are some warriors who offer great hosting.

It depends on file size and other factors, along with how many concurrent viewers you expect at any given time. In general, if you're going to self-host, I'd suggest hosting them on Amazon S3 / Cloudfront, rather than on a shared hosting account.

    Hi all!
It's my first post on this forum so be gentle with me, please
I want to build a site with my girlfriend and considering it's gonna be a site about cooking and healthy eating options there's a plan for video publishing as well.
As you all already mentioned some of the video hosting options, other than youtube, can anybody tell me a difference and similarities of that options and youtube. Youtube embedding is not an option for me, I would like to try something else but I'm a bit worried cause she's gonna have youtube channel for gathering subscribers so I'm not completely sure how it can work, if any with some other players.
    Any help is greatly appreciated

My friend if you are planning to make some money via YouTube I will recommend to you to use it There are very successful channels. Also make sure that her channel it is unique look at this guys are cool but crazy. https://www.youtube.com/user/EpicMealTime My recommendation is stick to YouTube Adsense it is friendly so as long as you have quality content you will build it and they will come.
